Lauren Melissa Jansson, MD

Lauren Jansson is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.  She is a developmental pediatrician and the Director of Pediatrics at the Center for Addiction and Pregnancy, a multidisciplinary, comprehensive care treatment facility for pregnant and parenting drug dependent women and their children since 1991, where she provides care to infants and children in the context of maternal addiction. Her principal areas of research are fetal neurobehavioral development in drug dependent women, lactation in opioid dependent women on medication assisted treatment, and neonatal abstinence syndrome resulting from in utero opiate and other substance exposures.
